nFLVPlayer v 1.0.3 |
|
| Description: |
nFLVPlayer - Flash Video player
I wrote this program because I needed a decent flash video player and there was none to satisfy my requirements.
It's built around macromedia flash ActiveX control and that control does play the video so compliance is 100% guaranteed.
nFLVPlayer plays Flash Video (tm) format also known as .flv. This format provides the best available compression out there through the VP6 codec. At this time this is the best video format for online video playback ... but it lacks support in other means of ussage. A while ago I had to develop an online video system that needed to play video in this format and I found out there was no decent standalone player to try my video's quality/size in various setups ... so I worte this one. nFLVPlayer can also be used to play videos from most large online sources (like GoogleVideo) providing you get the proper URL's.
This player offers common video player functionality controls. As an addition there is an OSD display, Smoothing function, and most recently accessed files/URL's list.
You need a flash plugin installed on your system in order for this player to work. The oldest flash version that nFLVPlayer supports is Flash 7 which imposes some limitations and may not play all possible videos because it lags codecs for the newest. I recommend installing flash 9 as it has quite alot of improvements in performance.
Note that FlashVideo is generally very CPU consumming so heavy bitrate video might need faster CPU accordingly.
It's light. It's fast. It's FREE. Enjoy!

| In 1.2 I could resize the nFLVPlayer window and it would enlarge the movie as well, 1.3 no longer does this, it just adds black bars. Any idea why? |

| You need to install flash activex control. This is installed when you install the plugin for Internet explorer. |
